  • Brent, It was a pleasure working with you on the sale of my 525 acres in Tama County, Iowa. To say that the property had some challenges to sell would be an understatement. It did have a lot of potential but it also had tons of challenges (ie in the city limits, enrolled in WRP, had easements from the county water company, etc) I have had the property listed with a number of other brokers and I must say that you went extremely "above and beyond" what the other brokers did to sell the property. The main thing is that you believed in the property and could see the potential and you focused on those versus the limitations. It was listed for 2 1/2 year with the other brokers without any reasonable offers and you had it listed for less than 6 months with numerous good offers and we settled of splitting the property up and selling it to 2 different buyers.     I received a nice gift from you and Dan Perez, the Can Cooker is awesome.  We tried it out sunday night and the results were great.  I also appreciated the Whitetail Properties hat.  There's nothing better than wearing a hat none of your buddies have, but they all want. I just want to say thanks again for your help in location the Grayson County property and getting that deal done so painlessly.  You did a great job helping me locate just what I was looking for.  We are really enjoying the property and I can't wait for hunting season. Thanks again, stop in and see us.  Anytime you see the gate open, we are there.  Good luck on your upcoming bow hunting trip.  Fall will be here before you know it.

    This week I received the HSS vest, Whitetail Properties hat and sticker, and QDMA membership...thank you so much!  I appreciate the thoughtfulness of the gift and look forward to using it this fall. It has been my dream to own my own farm.  My entire life i listened to my dad say" he was buying a farm this year" and it never transpired as he was raising a family and trying to make ends meet,  but nonetheless i made it a life goal to break the mold and own my own place.  My wife and I welcomed a baby boy last March, Hoyt, and I vowed to buy and buy soon so that we would have a family farm for years of  memory making...i was told buying a farm was like having kids, if you wait till the perfect time it will never happen, so i figured we had the kid, might as well have the farm.  Also, after many years of sticking money in the stock market with the emotional ups and downs and no tangible asset that i could enjoy while feeling secure about the return on investment,  buying this property was a no brainer...this might be the first farm but wont be the last.
     
     Jeff has been a friend for several years and when I decided it was time I was happy to have a trusted person to help with my dream.  The entire experience was a great one.  Most of the residential real estate transactions that i have been a part of were more painful that a root canal...buying this farm and working with Jeff was a joy.  Jeff was hardworking, honest, and recommended properties that were right for me, not just properties he was trying to sell.  As a medical equipment salesman myself, i am very sensitive to the sales process and the customer service I provide my customers thus elevating the level of service i expect as a customer...Jeff exceeded my expectations.  I look forward to a lifetime of memories on my farm and appreciate Jeff and Whitetail Properties being a part of it.

  • Knowledgeable, passionate, and motivated are three adjectives that describe Steve when it comes to representing you in a real estate transaction. My wife and I recently purchased a 57 acre farm the help of Steve. When we started looking for a farm we told Steve everything we were looking for from minimum size to price per acre to location. With that Steve went out and started assisting us in finding the right farm. When I got a call from Steve telling me he found something we needed to look at, I knew he was not wasting my time. The next day we toured the property and made an offer. I am so glad Steve was looking out for us because this property not only met every criteria we wanted, it truly is a perfect piece of ground for where we are at this stage in our life.

    If it were not for Steve’s initiative, we would not have gone through with the transaction due to a property boundary discrepancy between the title company and the county tax records. There was a difference of 14 acres between the two, enough that we were ready to cancel the transaction.  However, Steve got together with the county and the title company and got to the bottom of matter. It turned out the county had the wrong boundary line and that our offer to purchase the property was for the property that was advertised. I can honestly say if it were not for his initiative that we would have walked away from our initial offer. Steve went out of his way to make sure the discrepancy was resolved, which gave us the confidence we needed to proceed.

    Throughout the closing process, Steve maintained a constant communication with us to ensure everything was moving forward as planned and outlined what we could expect next. In the end, the closing process went smoothly and we are now stewards of 57 acres of creation.

    We are also fortunate that Steve has maintained contact with us after the closing. He still checks in to see how everything is coming together as we prepare for deer season.  He has shared with me some of his property management techniques and has been great at offering advice for someone who has not done this before. I am looking forward to showing Steve some of the trail cam photos and maybe getting him out in the stand with me to harvest a mature buck.

    To anyone taking the time to read this, my wife and I give Steve our highest recommendation. We don't plan on selling this property anytime soon, if ever. But if we do, Steve will be the one to represent us. If we decide to purchase another farm, Steve will be the one to represent us. I encourage you give Steve a call.

  • We  had been looking at property as an alternative for a few years, when I came across the listings by Whitetail Properties. Being a novice deer hunter, my goal was to find a parcel that not only offered recreational/hunting opportunities, but provided additional income to help maintain the property. I was thinking not only for myself but to provide opportunities for years to come for our family (grandkids).
